Privacy & Cookies

This page explains what the SecretCord website stores and what the public status counters mean.

Essential Storage

The site stores your cookie banner choice in your browser using local storage. This prevents the banner from appearing every time you open the site.

Statistics

The server counts visits, downloads, and update requests using privacy-safe identifiers. When the desktop client checks for operational status, it sends the Discord account ID, public display name, public avatar hash, client build, platform, and last-seen time. This client list is restricted to authorized administrators.

No Advertising Cookies

SecretCord does not use ad tracking cookies, third-party ad pixels, or marketing profiling on this website.

Data We Do Not Collect

Operational check-ins do not include Discord tokens, passwords, email addresses, message contents, voice data, server lists, or private channel activity. Inactive client records are automatically removed after 180 days.

Data Shown On The Status Page

The public status page shows only aggregated counters. Account-level client activity is visible only to authorized administrators and is not exposed by the public status API.
